This is just a quick post for our speed skating friends ⛸️💙

The boys didn’t want to get too far behind their skating teammates, so Nicholas and Zachary brought their speed skates to BC in the hopes of getting some training in here. They were disappointed to be missing their end of season races because of this trip, so we we’re trying to sprinkle in some speed skating when possible.

We reached out to two nearby clubs to see if we could guest skate while in BC – the Vernon Vortex Speed Skating Club and the Kelowna Speed Skating Club – and both clubs were super welcoming to have the boys join in on practices. With speed skating being such a niche sport in Ontario and BC, it’s wonderful to connect with other clubs, skaters and coaches. The boys had such a great time at all of the practices, and skated throughout the practices with big smiles.
